Packaging Matters: What to Look for When Buying Black Caviar

Carefully examine the packaging and label before purchasing. Loud inscriptions on the jar "royal", "imperial", "special", "exclusive" do not mean anything by themselves. Together with loud epithets, you can buy a fake black caviar or its imitation. Read the entire text on the jar, sometimes in small letters the manufacturers still "admit" that the jar with the drawn sturgeon contains not sturgeon caviar. The jar of caviar must indicate the name of the manufacturer, the production date, the name of the sturgeon species. Imported products must be marked with CITES (in the format VAE/C/DE/2017/xx/yyyy). On the can of black caviar from our company, the CITES marking is depicted on a red ribbon. If you order caviar in a restaurant, inquire about the manufacturer and ask that the can of caviar be opened in front of you.
